1ª Neurona:
Ganglio Trigeminal
Recibe las sensaciones exteroceptivas de las mucosas y de la piel de los 2/3 anteriores de la cara.
El Ganglio Trigeminal, recibe la gran raíz sensitiva del V par que entra al tronco encefálico en el nivel medio pontino para luego ingresar a los diferentes núcleos sensitivos del V par. Este tipo de sensibilidad llega al Núcleo Sensitivo Principal y Núcleo del Tracto Espinal.

2ª Neurona:
Núcleo del Tracto Espinal
Se extiende a lo largo de todo el bulbo hasta mezclarse con la sustancia gelatinosa de C1 y C2.
Recibe sensibilidad exteroceptiva (dolor, temperatura y tacto).
Como el núcleo espinal está organizado somatotópicamente y funcionalmente, la alteración sensorial de una región específica de la cabeza permite la identificación clínica de la región del tronco encefálico afectada.
Los axones de las neuronas de los núcleos sensitivo principal y espinal, ascienden en dirección al Tálamo, algunos se decusan en la línea media y ascienden conformando el Lemnisco Trigeminal, las que no decusan y siguen ipsilateralmente, conforman el Lemnisco Trigeminal Dorsal.

3ª Neurona:
Núcleo Ventral Lateral Posteromedial o arciforme del tálamo.
Los axones de estas neuronas talámicas ascienden por la cápsula interna hasta el giro postcentral de la corteza cerebral (áreas 1, 2 y 3), a las áreas más inferiores correspondientes a las zonas de la cara.

Apuntes profesionales es un wiki cuyo autor es el médico cirujano torácico y cardiovascular, Jesús Jacinto Custodio, que nos brinda una selección de artículos médicos relacionados a patologías de la especialidad de Cirugía Torácica y Cardiovascular. En su wiki podremos encontrar links vinculados al PUBMED, a un manual de como realizar búsquedas y a otros buscadores médicos. 
Su índice ubicado en la barra lateral, está dividido en las secciones: Corazón, Temas de Cirugía, Vascular, Tórax y finalmemnte las secciones PubMed y Bibliotecas.

My WikiSpace es un wiki creado con la finalidad de cumplir con un trabajo encomendado en el curso de Informática Médica II, pero que a la vez informa acerca de las asignaturas que llevo, temas interesantes, de actualidad en el campo de la Medicina y algunas experiencias vividas a diario en mi recinto académico.

Diabetes Wiki es un lugar donde las personas con diabetes pueden compartir sus historias personales, y construir una base de datos de información útil.
Está dividido en varias secciones como noticias, ¿Qués la diabetes?, Manejo de la diabetes, Impacto de la diabetes y Más temas.
Es una wiki dedicada por completo a la patología diabética, y tiene por objetivo brindar información para el tratamiento y el correcto cuidado del paciente con diabetes.

Los wikis con formato de tiddlyspot se caracterizan por ser prácticos y sencillos. En su barra lateral permiten mostrar los tiddlers que presenta el wiki, además permite organizar los tiddlers en los temas y subtemas que sean necesarios. Asimismo, se convierten en una herramienta accesible para cualquier usuario. Sin embargo, el diseño es poco colorido, pues sus colores base son azul y blanco.

Los wikis con formato wikispaces son una herramienta para el pensamiento colectivo. La idea es fomentar la creación de documentos entre muchas personas, de manera coordinada. Las páginas son editables como los demás formatos. A su vez, es parecido a tiddlyspot pues presenta igualmente una barra lateral que permite acceder a los diferentes tiddlers y organizarlos por temas o materia comunes. En las páginas se pueden añadir audios, vídeos, imágenes, archivos.

Los wikis con el formato wikifoundry se tornan en un formato más dinámico que los anteriores, si bien coincide con ellos al mostrar la lista de tiddler en un cuadro y a su vez, los muestra a primera vista al ingresar al wiki, permite diseñar un blog agregándole color a las secciones de tal manera que se convierta en una página web más llamativa y agradable de leer.

Ganfyd es una referencia médica de colaboración por los profesionales médicos y los expertos no médicos invitados. El sitio está basado en el formato wiki, que permite cierto intercambio de conocimientos. Ganfyd fue el primero de su tipo y se basa en sus contribuciones para que sea un recurso verdaderamente de clase mundial. Ganfyd es un recurso gratuito Open Access Medical Education (FOAM). Es adecuado para un registro digerido permanente de los tweets y blogs cambiantes y efímeras.

Epitelio Respiratorio

El epitelio respiratorio típico consta  de  seis tipos de células; de ellas el tipo más abundante  es la célula cilíndrica ciliada. Cada una posee cerca de 300 cilios en una superficie apical, posee gran cantidad de mitocondrias para facilitar su movimiento y por ende desarrollar su trabajo que es el de ayudar a desplazar moco y elementos extraños que ingresen a las vías respiratorias.

En segundo lugar encontramos las células caliciformes,  que son las encargadas de secretar moco, la porción apical de ésta células posee múltiples inclusiones de moco, rico en polisacaridos.

Células en cepillo, son células cilíndricas, que poseen a nivel apical un gran número de microvilli, hay dos tipos de ellas, unas  poseen una apariencia inmadura lo cual hace pensar que representan una reserva para sustituir las células caliciformes y ciliadas que han cumplido su ciclo, y el otro tipo que presenta expansiones en su base y son consideradas como receptores sensoriales.

Células basales  son pequeñas y redondas, descansan sobre una lámina basal y no se extienden s  multiplican continuamente y son las encargadas de dividirse por mitosis para dar origen a las demás células que hacen parte del epitelio respiratorio.

Finalmente encontramos las células granulosas que se parecen a las basales, pero poseen gran número de gránulos, son endocrinas que actúan como efectoras en la integración de las secreciones mucosa y serosa.

Es un sitio web en el que uno o varios autores publican cronológicamente textos o artículos, apareciendo primero el más reciente, donde el autor conserva siempre la libertad de dejar publicado lo que crea pertinente y donde suele ser habitual que los propios lectores participen activamente a través de sus comentarios. Un blog puede servir para publicar de ideas propias y opiniones sobre diversos temas.
Los términos ingleses blog y weblog provienen de las palabras web y log ('log' en inglés = diario).
El weblog es una publicación en línea de historias publicadas con una periodicidad muy alta que son presentadas en orden cronológico inverso, es decir, lo último que se ha publicado es lo primero que aparece en la pantalla. Es muy frecuente que los weblogs dispongan de una lista de enlaces a otros weblogs, a páginas para ampliar información, citar fuentes o hacer notar que se continúa con un tema que empezó otro weblog. También suelen disponer de un sistema de comentarios que permiten a los lectores establecer una conversación con el autor y entre ellos acerca de lo publicado.

Artículo científico

El artículo científico tiene seis secciones principales: 
1. Resumen (Abstract)- resume el contenido del artículo.
2. Introducción- provee un trasfondo del tema e incluye los objetivos del trabajo.
3. Materiales y Métodos- explicita la metodologìa de la investigación.
4. Resultados- presenta los datos experimentales.
5. Discusión- explica los resultados y los compara con el conocimiento previo del tema.
6. Literatura Citada- presenta las fichas bibliográficas de los artículos citados en el texto.

Kelly Trombosis es una wiki dedicada a la publicación de un interesante Proyecto de Investigación cuyo objetivo es presentar un nuevo método sencillo y rápido para tratar las colaterales varicosas.
Existen muchos tratamientoa ya desarrollados hasta el momento, pero el Dr. Jesús Jacinto Custodio nos presenta pues una nueva técnica que logra el mismo objetivo de trombosar las luz de las venas también a través de un trauma externo controlado como es el pinzamiento intermitente y constante de las venas varicosas con una pinza de Kelly.
Con este método se logra: la interrupción a nivel del cayado de la safena interna, externa. y de las comunicantes insuficientes, la interrupción del reflujo venoso de las profundas a las superficiales y la resección de los paquetes varicosos para evitar la recurencia por insuficiencia de nuevas comunicantes.
Por ello considero de gran importancia médica este Proyecto de Investigación pues constituye un aporte más al inmenso campo de la Medicina.

Las wikis constituyen una herramienta importante en la práctica diaria porque:
1. Provee y comparte las informaciones necesaria para educar la sociedad en el contexto de la información, con el fin de eliminar la brecha digital entre los interlocutores del proceso.
2. Editar y mejorar los contenidos que allí se publican, facilitando su actualización por medio del editor de texto.        
3. Llega a convertirse en una especie de diario en el que podemos publicar experiencias y anécdotas interesantes en nuestra vida de estudiantes de Medicina.
4. Constituye un espacio interactivo donde se puede intercambiar información para la realización de trabajos y tareas académicas.                                                                  
5. Permite organizar contenidos y convertirse en un horario para nuestras actividades diarias.

En este post, el autor nos hace ver que los wikis médica constituyen y constituirán un papel importante en la educación médica . Sin embargo muchas cosas tienen que mejorar . 
Algunas de las wikis que el autor encontrón en su visita son por ejemplo:
EBM Bibliotecario wiki: El objetivo de este wiki es el desarrollo de una comunidad de bibliotecarios que están involucrados en la enseñanza y el apoyo a la práctica de la medicina basada en la evidencia (MBE ) o la práctica basada en la evidencia (PBE ).
WikiRadiology : El recurso de imagen médica gratuita creada por la comunidad radiológica .
SIDA wiki: un lugar de reunión de la comunidad para los disidentes del SIDA para ayudar y fomentar el activismo. El wiki refleja un POV pro - disidente , aunque se respeta la diversidad de opiniones presentes entre los disidentes del SIDA.
La Informática Wiki clínico: Se trata de una aplicación de un wiki dedicado a temas de informática clínica.

Por ello, es importante conocer el funcionamiento de esta nueva herramienta de la Web 2.0, que como ya se dijo cumple un papel didáctico en el aprendizaje médico.

Chlamydia

Las bacterias de la familia Chlamydiaceae se consideraron inicialmente virus debido a que son lo suficientemente pequeñas como para atravesar filtros de 0,45 micrómetros y a que son parásitos intracelulares obligatorios. Sin embargo estos microorganismos tienen las siguientes características de las bacterias: 1) poseen una membrana interna y otra externa semejantes a las de las bacterias gram negativas; 2) contienen ADN y ARN; 3) poseen ribosomas procariotas; 4) sintetizan sus propias proteínas, ácidos nucleicos y lípidos, y 5) son sensibles a numerosos antibióticos antibacterianos.
Chlamydia tiene un ciclo de vida bifásico con dos formas funcional y metabólicamente distintas. La forma infecciosa de clamidia es un cuerpo elemental que se introduce por un proceso similar a la fagocitosis en la célula epitelial del huésped. Este proceso de internalización no es del todo entendido, pero lo que si se sabe es que clamidia induce fuertemente a la fagocitosis en células como las epiteliales que son aptas para tal fenómeno.
Una vez dentro de la célula del huésped, los cuerpos infectivos o elementales quedan unidos a la membrana de la vacuola que puede evadir la función fagolisosomal. El endosoma formado es transportado a una región distal del aparato de Golgi e incorpora esfingolipidos dentro de la membrana de inclusión. Por lo tanto, parece ser que Chlamydia es capaz de interceptar el tráfico vesicular de la célula del huésped para secuestrar lípidos y otros compuestos esenciales para su desarrollo. Chlamydia es entonces considerado un parásito energético por que carece de enzimas básicas en la cadena de electrones para obtener ATP y nutrientes, por lo que tiene que utilizar la maquinaria del huésped para su metabolismo y desarrollo.
Chlamydia trachomatis es el patógeno más prevalente en las ETS en el mundo occidental, y es el agente etiológico que subclínicamente menos se diagnóstica.
La OMS calculó que 89 millones de nuevos casos sucedieron en el mundo en el año 1995.

La wiki Portal de Medicina, es una wiki en español que alberga temas relacionados con la salud, así como también temas que ayudan a la comprensión de su cuidado, prevención, enfermedades y todo aquello que la puede perjudicar. 
Este Portal contiene secciones como artículo destacado, actualidad (donde se plantea por ejemplo que un test de sangre puede ser un sustituto para la amniocentesis), imagen destacada, sabías que y apartados en los que se incluyen links y enlaces que nos llevan a otras wikis o páginas web de Medicina que nos pueden ser de gran utilidad por su variado contenido sanitario. Asimismo, por ser una wiki, cualquier usuario puede editarla, agregando contenidos o creando nuevos. 
Además se pueden inscribir en alguno de los proyectos asociados en el portal y ser partícipes de la corrección y creación de nuevos artículos, mensajes, lecturas breves e imágenes que serán vistos por los demás usuarios. Esta Wiki  se dedica a temas que involucren a la Salud, especialmente va dirigido a los profesionales de la salud.
Se encuentra dividido en secciones, asimismo tiene guías clínicas, libros electrónicos, enlaces,encuestas, artículos y más. Por ejemplo, el libro electrónico posee secciones como ética, nutrición, insuficiencia respiratoria y ventilación mecánica, enfermedades respiratorias y el neurointensivismo.
Por otra parte presenta a una herramienta muy interesante de la web 2.0, como lo es la Wiki, una web fácil de editar de modo colaborativo, sencilla de adaptar y que permite enlaces rápidos hacia afuera y dentro de la propia estructura, y que al mismo tiempo funciona como base de datos. 
Asimismo nos menciona la factibilidad de crear wikis, pues existen múltiples sitios donde elaborar wikis de manera gratuita en internet. Como ejemplo disponemos de Wikispaces, Wikia, Wetpaint, PbWiki y Nirewiki por citar sólo algunos. 
Por ello, crear una wiki, resulta ser factible y a la vez una herramienta de suma utilidad para organizar y adjuntar información.
